Hello my friends,

I have one question for you regarding water cooling. May I ask, what coolant should I use if I want my WC to be perfectly safe even if the water suddenly comes rushing out of the tubes? I heard about something like InertX, but can you please give me a link where I can buy it from?

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks for your help.

there is a liquid called Flourinert that will not conduct but that is usually used for submerged computers not running it through pipes. The hitch is that the low end liquid is $500 for a gallon. the thermal properties are not as good as water either. This stuff is made by 3m so google it if you are still interested in it. I would recomend sticking with distilled water, just be very careful, check your work 2-3 times, and let the system leak test for like 2-3 hours before you turn it on.

Good Luck

there is a product called FluidXP which is suppose to be non-conductive. I saw reviews and the guy submerged half of his mobo in this liquid and then pulled it out and it still worked. You can get this stuff from www.frozencpu.com or www.dangerden.com and I think www.dtekcustoms.com has it as well. I think it's like $35-50 a bottle which is suppose to be enough to fill up typical water systems.

FluidXP is largely water, so it's long term stability may not be as good as hoped. I wouldn't risk it for submersion, but its fine for piece of mind for leaks.

well I wasn't suggesting that he submerge his mobo in it

danger den just came out with a chemical that is non conductive and cools very well. The tested it over ad madshrimps i think and it was within 1C of water. in one test it did actuallly 1C better than water. Go check it out. its not TOO expensive either. alot less than 500 a gallon.
