heh, had this for about 6 months now. got it at at the CPL this summer, from the CompUSA booth. the thing is, it didnt come with a box, and I cant find any lian li's that look like this one. notice the two back fans, and the faceplate on the front.

just wondering what model this is, because this one is messed up, and I was thinking about getting a newer one of the same model.

or do any of u have any suggestions for any good aluminum cases sub-$100??

definatly a PC-6X just looks like the front bezel's a little funky, the interior & fan loacations screams PC-6X

its not a pc 65.. those only have one rear fan, and not face plate like that
it might have been a prototype or somthing..i have never seen a LL that looked like that

Looks a lot like a PC68 apart from the bottom grid.

directron probably has a face plate model. Check out no of fans and such but I know they have something extremely similar. I was going to get a black one with faceplate.

it looks like a PC65 , but its got the extra sheet on the front that surrounds the power buttons and 5.25" bays, so mayve its a specaial edition of some kind ..

Don't settle for the cheap imitation. I built a friend's rig two months ago using that case because he insisted that it would be similar to the PC-65 as far as looks are concerned. So I ordered it and built his system. The panels are so thin and flimsy, you can easily crease it just by relocating the computer if there's enough weight in it. Guess what? His panels are all creased, warped, and bent.

I havnt found anything wrong with it, all the reviews seem really positive about this case like this one

I have a lian-li pc7 that i payed $80 for and from the description of the skyhawk. the skyhawk seems to be a much better buy. It is more comparable to a pc 60 in that it has a removable mobo tray but is a much better buy imo. What makes the lian-li worth 3x as much? the "lian-li" brand name? as far as features go it has less than the skyhawk.

as far as sturdiness, my brother had no problem putting in a few bends, dings, and scratches in my pc-7 once when he got pissed I wouldnt let him use my comp. So now one of the side walls isnt quite as flush to the case as it use to be

I do not know if anything has changed in the manufacture of that case. I'm 100% in favor of good quality products that can be had for a bargain. But the case we used for my friend's setup had very thin panels that distorted easily.
