Hello all,
Got a question. I recently bought a Lian Li PC65 and have been considering putting in a water cooling system for the CPU and GPU. However, I have two conditions on which I want to place on a water cooling solution. First I want the water system to fit within the case, and second, I want it to be somewhat quiet. Is there any kit or individual components out there that fits these conditions?
Zero
p.s.
Here are the quick specs:
ASUS p4c800 deluxe
3ghz P4 800mhz fsb
ATI 9700 pro (being replaced soon by either 6800gt or 850XT)
1 gig corsair xms 3200
only one hard drive, floppy, cdrw, and dvdrom (plan on getting two HDs and reducing the two cd drives into DVDRW)
Enermax 430w PSU

Sure. It can be done. I think my case is similar in size to a PC65 and my stuff fits in the case. It can be quiet, but the more you OC, the more you will have to crank those fans to accomodate the heat load of course. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v46/stockhatch/lian_1.jpg

So far I have bought nothing for the setup, since I want to buy the right components to fit within the case.

Hi guys,
I, like many of you, own a pc-60 (same as 65 but silver) and want to go for some sweet watercooling. What's the best place to put the dual rad? I think its ok to mod the "roof" and mount it like mightynimrod. Did you have any problems with the PSU getting in the way of the dual rad? That's my only concern before cutting two 12 diam holes on the roof of my case. BTW, what type of ad is yours mightynimrod?
(1st post, 'been surfing these forums for two months before I decided to post, btw why can't I acces the threads were PC ICE talks about prices and cooling gear he's offering?)

I used to have my rad in the top of the case with no drive in the top bay, pump on the case floor, and a small bayres filling up the floppy bays. No pics, but I could draw up a little diagram if you want.

Last week I started working with EDS Solidworks and just modelled a 3d of my pc-60, the black ice xtreme dual rad + fans and tried to find the best place to put the rad. Finally I decided the "roof" was the best place, but I've got all my drive bays full, the top one with an akasa fan controller, and still have to work out if all will fit with the new OCZ PSU, 'cause the OCZ is quite big.

Could post pictures how you have the tubes running out of the case? I'm thinking of something similair, considering I have a tripple radiator.

Care to share your drawing? I too have been looking to build a WC system in a pc60/65 and would love to be able to work w/ a computer model before drilling holes and messing up.

Bringing it back from the dead.. i have my radiators outside the case and I would like to mount them in better manner than the FLOOR. anyways...
Putting them on top netted me 4-5C higher (it was sucking air out of the PSU!).
So a good idea would be towards the front...
mightynimrod, how efficient was your setup.. that is practically on the top of the DVD drive... Doesn't it have some air restriction there? hot air?
Thanks

NICE! i love your thick tubes i hate those littel skinny ones if i were you i would have gooten clear tubes with coloured water and lights to make the water glow but thats my taste.
