I'm close to buying a VapoChill SE stand alone unit. The old model.

But it needs to be regassed, and I was wondering if R290 (Propane) would work? Would it have the efficience of the XE model that it gets with R404a?

Regards.

It is with a BD35F compressor, but I don't think that I'm gonna buy it anyway, because I cant afford getting it regassed.

But thanks for the help.

I would advise againt buying the vapochill SE, it can't keep today's processors (P4E, athlon 64) at sub zero temps.

These day's the SE's and XE's and classic are worth about $70 to me..that's just fro a small gpu cooler...

I agree, one could easily put something like the pe together for dirt cheap.

I've been offered a Mach I with A64 kit for 260$, is that a good buy? FULLY functional.

If it's in good condition I'd jump on it If I were you, maybe even have it sent straight to chilly1 or pc ice for modding :D
