Hi!

Samsung 44A056JW1EB for R22 540W (this was on the label). The guy in the store told me it has 12400BTU's.
Consulting THIS (http://www.samsung.com/Products/RotaryCompressor/ModelIdentificationCoolingCapacityRange/index.htm) page, i think it is a 5600BTU's and not 12400 like he said...

Some more info HERE (http://www.samsung.com/Products/RotaryCompressor/44Frame.htm).

With this info, can someone tell me the horse power? Is a measure that I understand better :)

It is suitable for a cascade?

In shop where i buy refrigeration stuff i saw a lot of those compressors, they said me that samsung isnt the best choice, 1/2 of sold comp back in 2-4 months "broken". They also said that those compressors dont like runing in vaccum/low temps.

i'm not telling you that it must die but i heard a lot of bad opinion about it :(

most of the hvac people I talked to told me that a/c rotary compressors wont work for low temp refrigeration, but in reality they work fine, it's just not the purpose they were designed for. I don't think that it will come back "2-4 months broken", but I have been using matsu:banana::banana::banana::banana:a and LG rotary compressors from window air conditioners, I havent had any experience with samsung.
