View Full Version : who says the CBBID chips suck? (2x 1024x768 pics, big for 56k... i dunno)

first off, my complete stepping:
ADA3200IK4BI
CBBID 0502APMW
1183637A50061
a 3200+ winchester, week 2 of 2005. CBBID, the supposed ugly step-sister stepping. :stick:
i booted at 9x275, and used clockgen from there, to get to the following speeds.
voltage in bios: 1.525v with 10% overvolt for the superpi run, and 1.55 with 10% overvolt for the max screenshot run. bout a .1-.2v undervolt on the dfi nf4 (well, according to cpu-z, that is)
max superpi 1m

notes:
validation, go here (http://valid.x86-secret.com/), at the bottom, search for: 2673
in the bottom right, the 32.593 is the superpi process timer. though thats not really important, i'm just showing a CBBID chip can make it through 1m super pi at alomst 2.7ghz.
max screenshot

notes:
sorry for no validation... i went up a few more notches in the clockgen, and *poof*, froze and i had to reboot. :D (but really... given the superpi at 2.69ghz, 2.72 isnt that hard to believe for a simple screenshot...)
i will TRY some 3d benches at these speeds, but not tonight. ;)

very nice
thanks, i'm just relieved that this chip is as good as it is, with all the flack the CBBID chips have been getting. :)
and i forgot to add, i DID make a few 32s super pi runs, just no screenshots. i'll go for all that crazy stuff tomarrow i think.

Maybe the new weeks are finally getting good again?
pik-ard v1.1

i was thinking that. but mine is the only good one i've seen. :D
gotta wait for a few more people to get them to come to that conclusion.

Mine can't do more than 2.4GHz with 1.55v. Maybe I'll take off the HS and check the week #, I didn't know they were important like they were on the XP/Barton chips.

well, take whenever you ordered it, and subtract 2 weeks, and thats PROBABLY about what week it was. ;)
EDIT: see attachment. now, its stable at this speed for 32m, does this mean it SHOULD, not 100% is, but should, be stable for games, etc?

I got a CBBID/0503EPGW. I have no way to test it since the SLI mb is still out of stock for me. Im hoping mine wont be a dud. I just got it today.

my system passed the 32M 2 times straight, at max process priority, and yet i get prime errors in about a 1/2hr...

CBBID 0503 and 0451 here and they both suck. You got lucky, be thankful.

What was the outcome of the 0503??
more and more support for luck of the draw with certain steppings.
you know you can link directly to your cpu-z validation, much easier that way.
how do i find exactly what superpi i have? i;d really like to know how close to 31seconds i am.

download it and run 1M test.

You are lucky man, but nothing to scream about. 33 seconds SuperPi is not much, some people get that with mobile Athlon XPs, and you are still below 2.7 GHz which is a mark SP*W are passing on a default voltage easily. My 41 week 3200 goes above 2.7 GHz.

I got 3500+ CBBID 0503 EPWM,but not test yet..cause iam still waiting for the VGA...
any info about this Proc?

nice chip indeed bud, but may i ask for a favor?
since it's a 3200+ chip, can you do the tests with the x10 multi?! you see, there is no sense in buying 3200+ for running a x9 multi. IMHO. :)
i'm asking about this, since i want to run my CPU @ 2.65GHz with my VX's... ;)

what speed? and its a CBBID, right? i notice your sig says you've got a DTR, didnt think they came in CBBID...
you know you can link directly to your cpu-z validation, much easier that way.
couldnt find a direct link. when you search, it doesnt give a direct link... :-\

it is something to scream about, when everyone else who has a CBBID cant even hit 2.5ghz. ;)
and i've gotten 32seconds in superpi, i was just showing that it was stable enough for superpi1M at those speeds.

look at the actual screenshots, they ARE at 10x multis. ;)
