Well i used to get -53 c on my older chip now im at -42 -43 at idle.

Seems like there could be a problem. Maybe its because i just upgraded to a 3.4E from a 3.2E which only used 82watts vs the 3.4E at 103watt?

I dont get it

uhm...it's a closed loop...you dont 'refill' it unless it springs a leak, which is usually pretty obvious when it does.
and yes, a higher heatload would cause higher temps...

When the liquid refrigerant evaporates inside the system, it runs back to the condensor and becomes condensed into liquid again. (closed system) It is not like when water evaporates on the stove when you are boiling it. It just seeps into the air to never be seen again. (open system)

The gas inside your system never looses its effeciency, your compressor, condensor, or evaporator might, but the gas, unless something is changed within the system, will never become less effecient. <--- simple version, I'll let someone else finish with the detailed aspect.

It never needs changing unless theres a leak somewhere.
