View Full Version : You any good at Typing?? Test Yourself Here

Kunaak

I see lots of little tests and such for people to take online, but one I never thought about taking till a moment ago is a typing test, till someone asked me a moment ago...

apparantly I suck at typing and can only do about 30 words per minutes... with about a 85% accuracy.

I can say however, in the last 2 years since I first began fiddling with computers that I have come a long ways and can now type without staring at my hands and clicking each button with my forefinger as I search for the next key ;)

how about you??

http://www.typingtest.com/

I guess I am just curious to see who can do it the fastest, with the highest accuracy :p:

gah! installing that st00pid plugin took like 5mins! :/

i cant go back and correct my mistakes if i slipped on the keyboard? how lame... the other typing test i did once had this option, more realistic imo since you always mistype from time to time but usually correct it inmediatly...

anyways:
36wpm 75% accuracy for me in this test :D
reading the text and then write it really kills my speed as i cant write blind :D

ahhh missing or misplaced commata and not writing MR but mr also counts as errors? so thats why i got such a bad accuracy :D

45 and 85%

I find it very hard to read and type, im much faster and more accurate when im thinking of what to type rather than having to read it.

I ended up being quicker memorising each sentence, then typing it. But then I spelt two words wrong LOL.

I dont do allot of typing, so im not too upset that im rubbish at it.

I think having a good keyboard helps, I have a soft keyed recessed laptop style.

I'm self taught too, I don't use the traditional style, ie "home rows" etc.

Stewie007

By the way, you CAN correct errors as long as you don't hit the space bar. If you go by the word it is accurate to say that you missed it, since when you aren't being tested you would have made the error and wouldn't have gone back because it WOULDN'T have been in red. :p

haha! 87 with 2 errors.... The problem are the last letters because normally you catch your error 2 letters after you typed it (for me at least) so you only catch it after it is locked.....

I also think this test is bunk because I scored 120+ adjusted in my school class. Although, I was more familiar with that material.
