System in sig.
I'm looking for some ram that will do 270 at the best timings. (I'm used to my BH-5, so 2-2-2-5 is nice, but I'm realistic, I know that isn't possible at 270) I need 1gb, dual channel, as I'm a gamer, not a benchmarker. I'm also in the US, so 1gb g.Skill LA is out of the question.
1) Is UTT/VX my best option? I've got a booster, so I can feed it the voltage it wants.
2) TCCD is leaving the market, should I jump on some quick? It's going to get REALLY expensive fast.
3) Would someone link me on newegg if they've got a suggestion? It's damn hard to be sure which ram has which chips, besides looking on that huge list.
Thanks!

what can your CPU do max stable?
and what multis do you have available?

It's a 3200+, so I have 10 and lower.
And with that and the 270mHz I'm looking for, I can do 2700mHz stable.

not sure why LA is "out of the question", it's sold right here: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductdesc.asp?description=20-231-008&depa=0
aside from LA, LE is probably the best value you'll find in something "guaranteed" to do 270MHz (with the best timings): http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductdesc.asp?description=20-231-006&depa=0
it's also a question of whether your CPU's memory controller can do 270MHz, as I assume you've been running a divider with your BH-5.
I'd say OCZ VX... but can't guarantee 270... should do at least 260 for sure at 2-2-2-x I'd think.

Some BH-5 will do 270 2-2-2-5, but u will have to find a good pair. The LE might be your best choise for 2*512

Yeah, I've not EVER seen 2X512mb BH-5 do 270. VX is a good option, and I like that G.skill. Thanks guys!

If people gave bh-5 3.5-3.7v like they do VX I'm sure we should see a lot more better clocks. Many people stop with 3.3v and bh-5 because that could get you 255+ fsb at 2-2-2-6.

BH-5, VX, UTT, and so on. It's all about luck most of the time. It all boils down to what fits your budget and how much you're willing to try your luck.
With my VX and a DFI Ultra-D, I was able to run at 10x271MHz with 2-2-2 timings for 3DMark. I also played around 4 hours straight of UT2004 at that frequency and timings. 277MHz 2-2-2 allowed me to complete the 3DMark runs as well, but the 9 CPU multiplier wasn't good enough for me. I wasn't able to test for 24/7 stability since the board died after 36 hours of use.
