View Full Version : Mouting the evap
I spent 3 hours today goign to different stores in my area looking for screws that will hold a socket478 board... and are 4" high (bout the size of my evap head). According to everyone, no such scews exist. Are there other methods of hodling hte evap head down on a socket478? Help plz :(

ACE hardware has threaded rods and thumb screws for that. I think home depot and lowes also has 4-40 rods and screws.
the screw in nuts are called knureled nuts. you cant use 6/32 machine rods for it (i think thats the number)
Well i talked with all the experts there and they all said that no such threaded rod existed, nor screw :(

I picked some up from my local HD yesterday. They sell the threaded rod you need in all kind of lengths. The knurled nuts come in short supply, but they do have the size you need.
Well i went everywhere in my region, so im not sure. I tried using wire today and it held it rather nicely? Good nuff for a 24/7 setup?
