In the "is TCCD dying" thread Centon got mentioned as it was on sale via CompUSA. Being the cheaparse I am I went up to check it out.

The chips said;

0449
D5xxx

the letters TCCD didnt appear and, again, being my cheaparse self, I didnt want to risk buying the wrong stuff and getting stuck with $140 in CompUSA gift cardage, they arn't THAT good a store...

So, for the hell of it, does the code I mentied (butchered as it is) have any chance of being TCCD? I thought myabe Hynix D5 but that could've gone either way.

TCCD chips should read K4H560838F-TCCD... I don't think those are it. They have to have heatspreaders on them to be the 3200LL.

Yea, I found the 'Advanced' on Centons page (which ought use TCCD) and they were very different from what I saw in store.

Contact Centon and get RMA number, they will honor it. Ask for TCCD in return.

Centon will make sure oyu are happy and have the correct product.

Instant 30% off at compusa for a few more days.

From what I see on teh compUSA site the Ram they are selling is not the advance memory at all.... Would they still do a RMA for on TCCD and then Give you memory that is worth 60$ more per stick to them?
