Hi there, i'm in a little bit of indecision. I've been thinking about getting a modstream because of how nice looking they are and performance and all that, but I can't decide whether to keep my current Fortron 530W or get a modstream. The fortron works perfectly, the +12v being at 11.97v when o/c'ed, but it's not as nice looking and the amps are a little low on the 12, so modstream seems pretty good. If you say modstream, is the 520W really worth $30 more than the 450W? I'll be running the system in my sig (minus the mach1), but eventually i'll be upgrading to an ultra-d and an x800pro vivo PCI-E.
Thanks for the help!

i would say get an OCZ 520W, but if you cant sell you "old" Fortron 530W maybe i wouldnt do now, but if the money isnt a point get the OCZ 520 Modstream

I planned on trying to sell it when i hit 100 posts, but i may just stick with the fortron for now. It's not really "old", just my current one, i've only been using it 4 months.

jeah if it works perfect there is no reason to change it, maybe wait for the next OCZ maybe 600W ;)

Man the powerstream is such a better PSU than the modstream. I would really consider the powerstream instead. When i tcomes to your PSU you should get the best one you can afford and not the prettiest :D.

Don't worry about the low amps on the 12V.
Have been using mine for over 6 months now, first a P4, now an A64, together with a 6800GT, 6 HD's, 3 DVD/DVDRW, 7 fans, 3 CCFLS.
Lines didn't move and PSU was solid as a rock.
My best 75$ ever spent. :)
