I currently got a watercooled system. I have this kenmore AC unit sitting in my basement collecting dust.

Same unit as this guy: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22968&highlight=kenmore

5400 BTU/hr, Unit. Its got an LG inside.

Now I've never done any phase change cooling before do this would have to be a learning project.

COuld I dismantle this AC and convert it to cool my cpu (currently a athlon xp M 2400 at 2.5Ghz on water.) Or does this AC unit not dissipate heat well enough to be used 24x7 cooling my box?

If its doable, what kind of tools would I need to modifiy the parts?
COmplete phasechange newb so go easy on me.

Edit I got 5400 not 5600.

I this this is a great idea.. I wouldn't go any smaller though. In fact if it was me I would get the 8000BTU or 10000 btu unit.

Get what you can afford... :D

I'm sure there is probably a 5600btu rotary in their which is a pretty nice compressor.
