Im wanting to build my own phase change system to go on my winnie 3500 and dfi nf4 SLi-DR board. Any guides out there that show all the components I need and how to put it all together? im sure with the help of my father, who does all kinds of mechanic work and hvac and refridgerators and stuff, we can do it. Also, anyone know if the new DFI board fixes the bug with the winnies not workin under -20? I currently have a swiftech water cooling kit, but it aint worth a crap. Also I like something clean, nothign where my parts have to be laying all over the place.
i think that doenst depend on the mobo, its just luck not evry winni works with minus grades.. its the subzero bug

I'm pretty sure it is the fault of that POS MSI mobo. MSI works by putting out a really crappy board before anyone else gets a chance to put out anything so people are forced to buy what exists.

There are both, you gotta look deeper or actually go into the threads.

This thread links to three guides to the basics. It is also a stickie several from the top.
Please refrain from basic questions or hand holding until you understand something about refrigeration or computers. From your 200FSB question we can see that you are so green that this too large of a step for you.
I would suggest you get a brand new Vapochill unit with the correct kit for your CPU to start out with. You will learn a lot and if you wish to pop the side of the case off and educate yourself would be best. Having all the parts working, learn the system parts and how it works.
I dont want to see you buying a used unit or parts from these forums. I would rather you get off to a good start.

Please learn the basics about computers, this is XtremeSystems. We dont mind being helpfull but we are not here for hand holding on computer 101.

I know my basics. I've been building computers for the past 4-5 years now. I konw all about the hardware and what not. Only thing Im just learning is the whole fsb and memory timing thing. I never really been much of an overclocker till I just got into it not too long ago. Thing that threw me off is on my current setup i have an axp 2400 and 2x256 sticks of corsair runnin dual channeled, so fsb in bios is set to 133, so I didnt even start to think but I knew that the new a64's would be stock at 200+. and im not askin people to hold my hand, I was asking if there was a guide out there, didnt ask anyone to make me one. and in my own opinion, vapo is way overpriced, and I've heard that they suck compared to what you can build own your own as a single stage. And im not going into this alone, im goin into this project with my father who is familiar with all of this stuff and has most if not all of the tools to complete the project. I went through cpt101 like 4 years ago, so im beyond that. Im not saying I know everything there is to know, because I know im far from that, but I know my basics and even helped a friend hook up his phase change cooler, but its not like his system is at my dispense for ideas.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up. You came off at first to be inexperienced.
Tools are a huge step, hopefully you know how to use them.
Source the parts and plenty of pics w/ data here for reference. You just gotta decide now if are gonna build a block or buy one. ebay is about the best source for compressors other than what local supply store might have for cendensing units left over or specials. low temp danfoss or copeland condensing unit will run you a few hundred.

heh, thats where im lost. I know nothin about refridgerant components, but I can always read more on the link you sent. Im sure I have all the tools. I know I have a torch here, and some soldering irons if we need it, and if I dont have it here, my dad being the mechanic knows a load of people around here who do.
