yesterday i was with a friend ho has a 5900xt and tryed ocing a little and i hit 450/900 and then i tryed to game some with it and it went well for maybe 3-4m but then suddenly every thing started to go slower and slower to that the game really felt not playable, i also read that one with ha 6600gt ( it was a little oced) had the same problem.
so is the cards throttling or what is going on??

yes, and you can test it by running graphics benchmarks. Inceasing the core slowly between runs you`ll get to a spot where adding more core MHz will decrease the overall score even though you notice no abnormalties while it runs. The trick is to find the sweet spot. ;)

you can bypass by flashed to a modded bios with thrtl and 3d speeds equal. be careful with 5900xt when the core is at 1.8-2v the little ics get really hot one of mine melted and i havent replaced it yet :(

okey, i dont really care about the 5900xt ust took that as an example because i know it happends to that to, so if we say 600/1300 is max benchable with no artifacts should i then edit bios flash a new with 600/1300 as original clock?
btw getting crazy here soon because all my posts gets in Xtreme bandwidth even that im 100% sure i posted it in Xtreme Overclocking

edit: what program should i use to edit the bios?
and what is the speed i should change to get it to go 600/1300 all the time?
