I'm looking for some new ram ( 2x512mb ). Now I found a shop that has PQI listed.
Should I give them a try? Or would a pair of G.skill 4400 the bettter choice? It's just because I found no one with PQI experiences. ;)
Board will be the DFI NF4 avec my 3000+ Winnie.

GSKILL 'LE'/'LA' would be the better choice.

My 2x512 PQI TCCD does 272 @ 2.5-3-3-7 2.6v

thanks urbanfox74! :)
the g.skill is 30 € more. but from what i read around the forums, they are worth the money!

good to see your back :D

id get the gskill since its rated for higher speeds...pqi probably used their best tccd chips for higher binned memory and that 3200 memory doesnt have that high clocking chips... but im notthat much into tccd, so better wait for other replies :D

btw, hows the uni?

thx saaya. finally it's time to get me my new rig!
i thought pqi would be good, because they were mentioned in the "tccd sticky thread" and they have the brainpower pcb. but maybe people can show me the right way. ;)

its hard to say, my pqi have done 280Mhz with 2.5,3,3,7 and are fast as fook. only used 2.7v for that and didn't have more to try, some tccd will do better with say 2.9v, some won't. i bought some gskill 4800 now and hope it will go further on new dfi board, will see i guess. you'd probably be happy with either, up to you if you want to save a little cash or not really.

afaik pqi's only tccd is the 3200 turbo ultra, their other turbo stuff doesn't look to have tccd timings but haven't checked recently.

In most of the application/gaming benchmarks (not memory bandwidth benchmarks) the corsair TWINX1024-4400C25 are ahead of the the G.Skill LE
Dual kit. (Which is recommanded for 1 GB DC configs)

So if you plan to buy a DC Kit you would getter go for a pair of corsair. Their prices are between PQI 4400DB/DPL and G.Skill LE. In terms of real world applications they are better.

G.Skill LA makes scence if you go single channel for hardcore oc'ing.

just my 0,02€.

I'd look into either:
A.) OCZ VX
B.) TwinMOS SpeedPremium
C.) The PQI
D.) The Gskill

the first two for 2-2-2-x timings and the other for higher FSB with loser timings.

my PQI is doing 271mhz @2.8v, 3-3-3-8 1T with a 3500+ winnie and EPOX 9NDA3+, looks like everybody else is getting slightly better results with this ram
