Hey Guys well after getting my Mach II GT up and running thought i would start the task of overclocking it!!
System is as follows:
3400 CG stepping Clawhammer
2x512mb OCZ PC3700
DFI NF3 UT Lanboy mobo
480W Antec True Blue PSU
x800 XT PE @ stock speeds
After a few blue scrrens have so far managed to get it up to
2.6ghz on the CPU using 1.552v (260x3 HTT)
Had to put a divider on the ram once i past 250HTT so i've set it to 9/10 (380)
Rams at 3,3,2,7 T1 with 3.0v
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/funked_up/2.jpg
Temps are -33°c idle on the cpu and -45°C on the evap head
Under load (prime 95) cpu is -15°C evap head -43°C
So what do you think guys?? more in it yet?? Not sure what to do about the dividers on the ram think i'll have to put more of a divider on it before going again. I can also go to 3.1v on the ram, could do more but my +3v rail only gives me 3.22 the rail is rock stable under prime, only fluxuated by 0.02v.... so think 3.1v on the ram would be ok.
Anyway let me know guys
So far with no overclock on the graphics card i'm getting 28,800K (i need a reformat too so might get more after that)

dude, kick up that voltage! I have a Mach II, and im running at ~1.9 vcore right now, cpu at 11x254 (not the greatest clocker), idle evap temps are -36c. you have a lotta potential in there. push up the core and go to an 11x multi.

As Aphex_Tom said. Give it more voltage... 1.8~1.9vCore.
(ran 1.8v with my watercooling for 24/7 before on similar chip).
U should be aiming for 2.8-2.9GHz :D or even 3!?
Use 1 stick when u gonna bench (Can oc 20MHz higher then). If its ocz 3700eb. Give them 3.0-3.3v ~as u do but try 3-2-2 timings, but keep them cool.

Push your Vcore, and start scaling the processor higher.
Your temperatures have headroom still; push for at least another 300 MHz.
Crank up the VDIMM for that RAM, and it will scale higher for you as well. You just need to overvolt some more, to increase your headroom a lot :)

feed it juice :)
offtopic: nice to see you joining xf forums. (from overclockers.com)

Right i have given it some more juice on the vcore put it to about 1.8 for now and got it to 2.8gig (280x10). I've got the ram set to and low divider so i know its not my ram crapping out.
I went for 2.9gig (290x10) (The HTT multi is x3) and gave it a touch more juice to be sure (my board undervolts slightly)
And i get this error message when i load:
File\i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be found.
I thought i would need to reformat so i lowerd the clock speeds back to stock and it loaded fine!! So whats causing this?? My max hit or more volts??
Hope you can help
Would be nice to get this chip to 3.0gig
Theni can start gettig my ram to a respectable speed too as its set to a 166 divider at the moment ;)
Cheers

Make sure your hd is on SATA 4, that could be giving you problems. Otherwise, try LDT 2.5x, chipset voltage of 1.8, vcore of 1.85 and whatever vdimm you need. :)

HD is running via IDE
Well i went back to the begining and tried to find my maxs
First i tried to find my CPU's
Set everything to this:
Ram @ 133
Vdimm, Chipset and AGP voltages normal
HTT multi x1
Started with the vcore at 1.7 and started to increase the HTT got up to 240X 11 = 2.65gig. before blue screens. Then i put the voltage to 1.75 and managed to get 250x11 = 2.75gig. This was prime stable, so i went for more but blue screen. I tried upping the voltage and got into windows but not prime stable at all!! So i guees that 2.75gig is my CPU's max
Then i tried to find my Rams max by setting everything to this
CPU multi x7
MEM/HTT 200
Vdimm at 3.1v (my +3 rail goes to 3.2 so think 3.1 on the vdimm is my safest max)
HTT multi x1
Managed to get the ram to run prime stable at 250 with 3,2,2,8 T2 timings. With relaxed timings wouldn't get stable prime at 255 so stopped there. Also tried to use T1 at the stable speed and timings i got but not stable.
So at the moment i have my system set up as follows
250x11 (2.75gig) CPU 1.75vcore
Rams a 1:1 @ 3,2,2,8 T2 3.1vdimm
HTT is a x3 1.6v chipset
So if there are any suggestions on where to go next that would be sweet. Managed to get 29,400k in 03
So if i can do anything more let me know so i can start benching for Xtreme Systems :)

2t is gonne hurt you there, and give that cpu more voltage. Whats the highest you've given it? I'd at least go to 1.9v don't worry, it'll be fine.

I did give it more voltage i went up to 1.9v (1.875 actual) when i was trying to find the max but it wasn't having it...it wasn't prime stable. That was at 255x11 (2805) Temps were still at -5°C so i know its not that!!
As for the T1 dont think theres much i can do about that apart from lower the ram on a divider but surely i'm better off keeping it in sync??

it depends, how high can you take it with 1t vs 2t?

ok will try and see what my max is with t1 timing then let you know

There is no such thing as "synced" anymore. The only reason people needed 1:1 ram and FSB speeds was because of a bug with the NF2 platform.
At the same MHz 5:4 was acctually faster on the P4 platform because of the BW limit from the FSB, and with a A64 the ratios make no difference in performance if the memory is at the same speed.

Well after alot of max finding and reboting i've found this to be my max
Rams a 1:1 with 3,2,2,8 T1 timings
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/funked_up/finalresult.jpg
I know running async would do much but my CPU wouldn't go much more past 2.75 tbh.
I guess i could have put the HTT to 300 and have the ram on a divider to keep it at 245. Not sure which though
Anyway with the above pic i got 29,700  Close but no cigar
I need to reformat still and my GPU is still stock. Dont want to overclcok it cos i want to sell it anyway
