and it ran Prime95 @ 345fsb all night long....with cheap a$$ memory too.
I bought this kit...

now if asetek ever makes their VC adapter so I can move this all into the VapoMAXX... :D

i think i could write pi to 1million places myself faster than that? :P

You are using 4x multi - Your memory doesnt run 358mhz.
Plz see this link:

I think the point might be that an Asus SLI board went that high on FSB without crashing. Mine would only make 315.

Ha, I knew it was too good to be true!!
So if I get it to run @ a 5 multiplyer, then the memory speed will be correct, if i`m reading that chart correct, right?

Yes Rukee you are correct :)

But still very nice.
I'm waiting to see how good the Pi Time can be Sync !

The top FSB reading in the AiBooster is the hyperthreading transport speed or whatever, right? If I take the 1432 and divide it by the fsb of 358 I get 4, Should I be dropping that divider down to like a 3 to get that speed closer to 1000mhz??
Right now I have it on auto, but I`m booting at a much slower speed too.

run it at whateve rmax ht speed you can run, or keep it close to 1000, it doesn't really matter, does next to nothing to affect performance.
as for the speed, even if its truly 315Mhz , which isn't awful, when the cpu is that low its simply not got the power to request enough info from the memory to max it out. its essentially the same as people grabbing a screenie of a cpu at say 3.4Ghz, but not at load, and under load its only able to maintain 3Ghz.
Unless its running with decent cpu speed the memory really isn't doing much and will let you run at a higher speed.

that would explain why the bandwidth is not the greatest.
But if I get the memory to run this fast at a lower multiplyer, and burn it in at those speeds using Prime95 or whatever, shouldn`t it get better or be able to maintain those speeds later when I increase the multiplyer??

omg..Well good attempt any how

Ummm, are you sure thats not a bug? Mine does that every time I boot up. Mine says im running at 354 right now, and thats definitely not the case. If you *change* it to your real FSB it recalculates the numbers.

CPU-Z reads the same CPU speed as the AiBooster. The FSB was booted at 233x11 from the BIOS and then I used the AiBooster to drop the multiplyer and push up the fsb to 358. I can set it higher, but SuperPi errors out.
I have the multiplyer set to 5 now and 287 is Prime95 stabil. Testing always.

Rukee use clockgen NF4 to set multiplier and HTT don't use Aibooster ;)
works for me as you already seen before

but your memory is not running 1:1, your HTT is 339 and the memory is 247.
Way to crash my thread with two diffrent Bleedinegde threads all at once. :p

yeah but it's it performance that counts
7x 358 = 2506mhz
8x 358 = 2864mhz <-- how many cpus can do that ?
Rukee

Max 1:1 with the memory is what I`m after now. I`ll get the CPU speed after it goes into the VapoMAXX. ;)

my 3D performance is better at 235x11 1:1 then it is running 335x8 and the divider.

I apologize for my comments if that is not the case. The numbers were almost exactly like mine so I figured it may not just be a coincidence!
Good to know the board can run that fast! I cant for the life of me get past 280 and stay remotely stable. =)
