Hey guys

Wondering if you can help me?? I installed my GT yesterday and had everything working fine, however, after trying to connect the USB to the mobo last night the GT now reaches 45 - 49degrees and does not make it to -50 to allow the PC to boot. It looks like connecting the USB wrongly confused the prom, because i unplugged it from the mains & PC for 20 mins and then restarting the prom reached over -50 BUT since the PSU was not powered the prom shut down again - However, after turning on the PSU and the prom back on it was only getting to -45 and not starting the PC

There is plenty of sealstring around the head and the screws so that doesn't appear to have anything to do with it.

I plugged it all back in this morning and she went right up to -60°C and booted the pc (made sure the PSU was turned on this time :p: )

Then oncve it was running the temps raised to the usual -46°C and has stayed there for over an hour now!!

I did notice that when i first used the GT it would reach -60°C and stay there for sometime before raising to -47°C and staying there?? I put the pc under prime95 and the evap temp did rise some more and then after it went back down to -47°C so im kinda happy to know it seems to cool back to this at idle.

But since this problem has started the evap temp will go to -60°C at start up then straight up to -47°C (whilst before it would gradually go down as mentioned already)

Although it seems to be sorted. What the hell was going on?? Anyone know why the mach wouldn't reach temperature? could it be something to do with the temp probe in the mach's head??

Hope someone has an answer to this!!

Cheers
