Rig I'm building

Athlon 64 fx-53
neo2 platinum nforce 3 ultra mainboard
2x 512 mb corsair xms ultra low latency dual channel memory
seagate 120 gb 7200 rpm

I'm not an overclocker but I have modest overclocking needs, like getting the fx-53 maybe up to 2.6 - 2.8 ghz or so. if anyone has any sort of heatsink they could suggest to me that could perform like this that would be amazing. thanks a lot :)

XP90. It's light and performs on par with the XP120, except you can actually use it on all boards because its a good enough size. Combine it with a good enough 92mm fan, and you'll definitely have low temps. 2.6 -2.8 on an FX-53 shouldn't be so bad if you have a good week.

XP-90 here also. It also cools the ram when used on a neo2.

Panaflows aren't too bad for aircooling (speak anything of them in the liquid section and its blasphemy) I use a tornado(or delta) for versatility, switch the wires to 5v for silence or leave 'em at 12v for performance.

Panaflos rule. Try to find a vendor that sells genuine Japanese ones, though. I have some of the Chinese made ones and the motor noise is noticably louder.

sanyo denki also has some nice 92mm.

silenx is very good if you want extreme quiet, but with still pretty solid performance.

Lian-Li definetly. Nice cases and aren't THAT expensive. And my vote is also the xp90.

Isn't that the REALLY silent one? If so, it doesn't come close to an xp-120...

My motherboard for now will be nf3 ultra because my current graphics card is AGP, and nforce4 mobos don't have an AGP slot. :(

XP90 or Swiftech MCX6400V (I'm not sure about the compatibility though). As a case, CM Stacker as a case.

How good are you with a soldering iron?
Aluminium sheet + small copper block + solder.....

Crap!
They're out of stock. They were CHEAP though. Regular price was $2.50. I've been ordering there some lately, and they're always running out of stock. They must just keep a small inventory. Wait a few days and they should have them back at $2-2.50 each.

The CM Stacker is more excessive to me than anything. I found a nice Lian-Li case that fits my budget:

Do you think this is acceptable? :)
