Hi everyone!

I have just found out that I can get a OCZ Powerstream 600W or a PC Power and Cooling TurboCool 510 SLI. Fist of all, I was planning to get a Enermax EG701, but the availability of these PSUs has made me change my mind. So which one should I take? Keep in mind that the PC Power and Cooling is more expensive (about 100USD). I will be using this PSU in a rig with DFI Lanparty nF4 SLI-DR and 2x GeForce 6800 Ultra.

Thanks :)

PCP&C are probably one of the best PSU's out there, and OCZ don't even make their own PSU, all they do is outsource em. Go for the PCP&C.

get the PCP&C and make sure they Sleeve all the cables, They will also Add Pots for extra Cash, But it will cost a few Green to get it done.

PCP&C is a pobably a better psu, but more expensive and louder, the OCZ 600 will cover your needs - so thats the equation you have to weigh up. It doesn't sound like changing the specification of the psu is something you are interested in.

Also see this (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=49657&highlight=ocz+600+pcp) thread.

Yep PCP&C is for sure the better PSU. That being said do you really need a better PSU than the OCZ 600w? You have to evaluate your needs and decide if the extra cash is really worth it. I mean that OCZ 600w should power almost any configuration out there.

@Tyrou: PC Power and Cooling can be bought here: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=22_166&osCsid=be953681d2026f816a8b4aba6acf7984

I will get the PC Power and Cooling 510 SLI then.

Well, I won't be getting either of the two, I'm getting a Zippy/EMACS 700W.

Sweet Jesus... nearly 300 bills for a desktop PSU? I've seen redundant EPS12V jobs for near that amount.

Actually, that company is very good from what I've heard. I was told that they were making PSUs for PC Power and Cooling, and people seem to have good experiences with them.

Well, bad news :(

I can't get it because the DFI mobo is having problems with it when you switch over to 5V for the VDIMM. Oh well :(

I think you're just as well with the PCP&C 510 SLI, which is ~$60 cheaper anywho, plus you don't have to deal with the PCIe -> molex adapters. The 510 can put out loads of power and has adjustable rails, so unless you're running pelts off the main PS or the like, you should be good to go.

BTW you'll be glad you found the problem with the Emacs 700W BEFORE ordering it - saw that over in the DFI bugs thread :D

Look at the top of the unit...should be two small holes on left side of the top if the fan is facing you. Otherwise, I think you need to take the top off. They are adjusted with a phillips. All I know is where they are, don't even begin to ask me how to adjust them, I'd probably end up killing your computer and leaving you looking like Gokou.

Yes, I think that that is logical since the company mods it for you.
