Hi!

My system is in my sig. I bought recently a Geil PC4000 Ultra plat. 2x512MB. I get nice overclocking reaching my cpu limit 1:1, but only at 2T. 1T won't post at all, even at DDR400. Is there something to do with the BIOS or something else?

Thank you!

i have some pc4400 geil i belive it uses the same chips Hynix D5? i have noticed that on 1t stability isnt very good, although mine does post and get through benches, i think the moral of the story is geil (unless ultra x) isnt very good for overclocking

Bump
Any other idea? This forum is usually full of overclocking tricks ;)

Do you have aggressive timings enabled or disabled? My computer wouldn't run with aggressive timings enabled.

Same here my PC4000 GEIL would do 250MHz at T1 but wouldn't overclock to T1 @ 266MHz like it would with my old Pentium 4.

It's disabled. I followed the advices of the famous "official K8N Neo2 guide" from this forum :D

My understanding is that any RAM will not perform at the same limit from system to system, especially from a P4 platform to A64 one. But to the point of not working at all at 1T, it's unacceptable and frustrating, no?

Yeah but my P4 was using PAT at the time so would of used more agressive timings kinda like T1.
