Hello
I recently did all three volt mods on my a7n8x delux, and I saw barely any gain, the max i can boot with my ram in dual channel is 220, and in single its 225 :\
Right now i'm running 1.9 volts through the chipset with the mod, and it doesnt seem to be getting too hot... I put a little ramsink deal on it, and theres a fan blowing over it
But how many volts do you think I could safely push it too for 24/7 use?
Thanks for the help :D

I'd say 1.8 with a decent cooler, 1.9 if you got water or phase-change...
Make sure your SB is cooled, and cooled well!! that got me 5mhz on my a7n8x fsb, and got rid of a lot of problems.
225 will probably be your max... mine topped out round 222, but that was from the ram.. my an7 tops out round 230 aswell.

darn... i was sorta hopin somebody was gonna tell me to pump 2.2 into it :D
lol
What do you guys use for chipset cooling?
I've already taken off my north bridge and lapped it to 800grit and put as5 on it when i put it back on, and i've got a fan blowing directly onto it, and i've got a bga ramsink on my southbridge...
Should i take my northbridge cooler and put it on my southrbidge, and buy a northbridge cooler with a fan? like a vga cooler type
Any more suggestions on how I could squeeze a few more mhz out?

modded BIOS could help, yeah that would be fine. Putting the NB cooling on the SB and buying a new NB cooler. A nice copper one...I believe ThermalRight makes a pretty nice one...no idea if it'll work on your board but something to look into

I took my DFI infinty's NB cooler and put it on my SB and stuck a Tbird 850 heatsink and fan on my northbridge. works well :D
Ive never seen someone push some massive voltage through a NB on NFII, so I dunno what max is.. more voltage seems to not help too much, though... :(

1.9 will be fine with a good heatsink and fan as well... you can try more vdd and see if it helps, but i doubt it... some nbs clocked lower after people gave them 2v vdd or more, other nbs dont seem to care about those volts...

pump 2.2v into it! :D
if it doesnt help or makes the board oc even worse just sell it and go 754 or 939 :)

I never thought about the extra volts running to my ram dippy, I've seen some pretty crazy bh-5 on nf2 boards though
Maybe i'll take it up to 2 or so and try
220 just isnt acceptable :P
