I have been wanting to buy an aluminium case for some time, and stombled over the Super Lanboy.
Is this a good case?
Will a Black ICE Pro 120mm fit the rear blowhole?
Will a Asus A8V Deluxe fit in it?

i scooped one up over the holiday break to replace an old antec case i had.
metal's thin. the 2 fan holes are 120mm. the lil parts tray is nice. sideways hdd mounts are nice. rubber hdd screw holes are nice. fit & finish is pretty good, not perfect. comes w/ 2 120mm fans and a carrying strap.
i havent had a chance to test cooling, as my gb k8ns-pro is in RMA land.

Decent case, 120MM fans at front and back. Not sure if the black ice will fit in front of the drive bays. Im sure it can be mounted on the back 120mm.
I have used this case on many builds, no unhappy customers.

i bought this case (havent run anything in it yet) it is in the process of modding it to fit a water cooling system in it, should be fun when in done

I've been hearing bad stuff about the lan boys..... mostly that they are very poor quality.

they're decent quality, the aluminum's not as thick as lian li's though. i like mine, in my not so scientific testing the fans it comes with provide pretty good cooling, i tried some 120mm rated at 80 cfm (the stock are rated at 40cfm) and it didnt make a huge difference around 5f ambient temps and 2f lower cpu temps.
any standard atx mobo will fit in it though if you keep the rear fan installed with the rubber you will have to take out your p/s and sometimes optical drives if theyre long or bend the back of the case to get your board out. going in is alot easier.
i like it alot better than the thermaltake tsunami cases its much better build quality and the p160's front was too plasticky for me. sadly case selection locally sucks for me

I've been hearing bad stuff about the lan boys..... mostly that they are very poor quality.most of the reviews i've read compared it with high-line cases. quality seems to fall in line with other cases in its price range... above good. i'd give it a solid "B" :)

Okay, thanks, then I'll soon order one.
any word as to whether the back of the case can support a full rad w/ 120mm fan on it? Looking at a watercooling setup, but that back metal seems a little flimsy...

the back is dual layers of thicker metal. i don't see why you couldn't hang a radiator+ fan off it, unless it weighs an insane amount.

yea it'll hold a radiator.

I have a lan boy good case to take to a lan, nice and light. I think the case to will hold a water cooled system. If you are question the metel thickness, it is a thin, but It you use washers, I think it would work good.

The lanboy case is great for modding, the thin aluminum is much easier on a dremmel or rbx than the thick aluminum of the lian-li's. However the quality is not nearly as good. The rear 120mm fan mount will certainly hold a radiator and fan setup. The front 120 would work as well though it will take some modding.

Thats the dumbest name for a component ever. Almost as retarded as naming something "Lanparty". Do these companies think we're all 12 years old?
i had a full DD water setup in my lanboy no problems at all. the back pannel is about 4 times thicker than the rest of the case and can easly support a 120mm radiator and one of those 5 pound papst fan's. ;)
there is enough clearance between the fan hole and PSU to even mount it inside the case.

Okay, my choise is between these cases:
Antec Super Lanboy.
Lian Li PC-65B
Lian Li PC-7B Scandinavian Edition.
Which one should it be? ANd does the Lian Lis look nicer in Silver?

We had such a hard time trying to get everything to fit into this LANBoy case. If you've a big mobo, lots components, everything will fit w/a squeeze. He had a DFI lanparty and the harddrives were overlapping the mobo. His cables were squeezed, pinched into place. The way the harddrives went in didn't allow him to use his lanparty rounded cables. He had to resort to the ribbon cables. Talk about bummer! Not much space for the front fan either. You have to go w/the 25mm fans too.
If you're thinking modding, I say, go for a larger case. The quality like others say, is okay, not great.

Ok, but I think I'll go Lian Li.

Ok, but I think I'll go Lian Li.
good call, they are more spacious and better quality, although the lanboy isnt terrible for the price

I managed to get a PC-DL w/ stock IWT's along with an OCZ 600w Powerstream squeezed into this case.... I hated every second of the build until I turned it on, then I forgot about the horrible experience (have only ever used used server or full tower cases). Metal is thin thin thin, go with Lian-li for aluminum cases.

Then Lian Li it is.

I had Super Lanboy but I got pissed off w/ it. The front fangrill looks stupid and cheap, side windows is lame and case resonates.

Ok, not that nice, sounds like a :banana::banana::banana: case. But I've just got enough money to a Lian Li PC-75B server tower, so I will soon order one.

Well, I have a Super Lanboy in my house. I'd use it but my 6800 Ultra's power cables hit the HD cage and wedging them in there looks like it will rip off the power connectors from the Ultra (this is an X-Connects power cables BTW, big mothers).
It isn't low quality at all, it look sturdy; remember the goal of the case is to be LIGHT, if you want something really solid go for steel.

id say the biggest thing wrong with it is that todays bigger and badder hardware has problems fitting into it. I still like it becuase i can put it on my back and bring it to lan partys and not have to go to the chiaropracter the next day

Okay...

i have a super lanboy, the main problem i have with it is the way it marks, look at it the wrong way and it has a huge scratch in it.
i think you made a good choice not buying one
