I believe it was announced on this thread here on Xtreme (http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=44504). Heh - Charlie was the second poster. I didn't know that was the fastest one to date, either, but I did note it on the front page of my site - http://www.fx-55.com

lol.... yeah forgot about that, so it's 3828mHz....nice!!
Has anyone hit 22s superpi?
PCICE, sooooo close... those couple extra degrees of LN2 help there, I guess.

You know something ELSE I have noticed?? Us Americans and even the Europeans have been bludgeoning our FX chips with 1.90, 1.95v and even 2.0v....2.1v if you're Tom Holck, lol.
Memesama has the WR @ 1.9v....
What are they doin' differently?

So now there is a SSE patch for AMD?

Yes there has been a SSE2 patch for some time... Best to get a SSE2 patched and unpatched if theres any question.

Yet people cramp on the prescott patch?

I wonder if the SSE2 patch works with the Dothan.

It will work. Will it produce better results? Maybe not.

20sec would be with patch - Other than that it would be impossible

You're wrong, he has 22sec with an FX55 unpatched, 20sec is impossible.

Charlie, I believe this is current wr for pifast for memesama:
http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/3233730401/pifast3334.jpg

I could have come close if that damn cpu hadnt died. I was very close to hitting 3600mhz benchable on winxp and my tuning wasnt as good as it is now. I never got to run any sp 1m with that cpu, but it would have been 23sec 1m unpatched for sure....maybe 22sec unpatched with current setup :( .
Coulda, woulda, shouldas, dont matter anyways..........
Are you going to start dropping some pi bombs with your new setup soon charlie?? :) sizing up the competetion eh?? hehe

Maybe nothing, each chip is different so one has to be fed with 1,9 and another with 2,1.......... :toast:

From what i have seen the asian OCing community is more avid to using high voltage than the US or european.

I think memesama and his pals test quite a few CPUs before trashing some scores with one.

I was looking at 8Mb, not 1MB

Whats the 1m superpi of a FX-53 stock vs FX-55 stock and is there considerable difference?

Where would I find this patch for the SSE2? Does it have any benifit in gaming? Does it have any cons/problems?

mcnbns

It's simply a patch to make Super Pi use SSE2 optimizations. It won't affect anything but that.

Only cons are that some people call it a tweak, and some call it a cheat. :/
