Does such a thing exist? Im trying to build water cooled rig with around 8 fans, while still trying to conserve 5.25 drive space. Anyone know of a place that makes custom parts like this, or a rare fan controller that exists somewhere?

what are you running in that beast??? i cant think of ANY machine that would need that much cooling for any reason, especially if your water was done right

How many 3 1/2 slots do u have. U could run 2 3 1/2 controllers that control 4 fans. You could try to find a pci slot controller, but I'm not sure if they make those. What comp needs all this cooling

Give me a few to get all the fan specs ready....

just run 2 fans off each controller.. most controllers now can handle like 18watts/channel.

what he said. get some splitters, run 2 per channel.

Or custom build your own fan controller (it's not that hard).

Intake:
Main Intake - Thermaltake A2018 120mm Blue LED Fan, 93.7cfm, 5.76W, 0.48A
Front Right Side - Thermaltake A2016 80mm Blue LED Fan, 72.5 cfm, 5.76W, 0.48A
Left Side Panel - Logisys CCF80BL 80mm Blue CCFL Fan, 31.73cfm, 2.4W, 0.005A
Left Side Panel - Logisys CCF80BL 80mm Blue CCFL Fan, 31.73cfm, 2.4W, 0.005A
--------
229.66cfm

Exhaust:
Main Exhaust - Delta FFB1212VHE 120mm Fan, 152cfm, 12W, 1A
PCI Slot Blower - AOC FC-2000-B PCI Slot Cooler, 42cfm, 1.8W, 0.15A
--------
194cfm

Radiator:
Probably 2 or 3 Deltas on an external radiator.

It was only going to be 6 fans, but... I wanted a CCFL light for my UV screws and cables. Then I found out they come on fans, so I thought "Why not?" :)

Edit: I just updated the fan watt and amp stats.

Butcher, I would like to build a custom one... but most of them only have 3 connectors on them while fans have 4... I wouldn't know how to fix that.

Fans have 4? Fans should have 2 - power, and maybe a tacho output, at most 3 connections.

You know, the ones that use molex connectors.

You'll have to get an adapter or get rid of those. Zalman ZM-MFC1 has 6 channels.

Yeah! I was admiring that one..... but then I still have several more.....

That leaves only 2 or 3 left, which will be outside of the tower.... hmmm. I have an idea. I'm gonna figure it out in my head then post again tomorrow. BTW, could that controller handle that higher amp Delta?

How about I use a PCI Power Bracket (3 x 4-pin molex), then connect the external radiator fans to that through a tripple or dual fan controller thats mounted into the desk? I think thats a swell idea!

Found one! ......I think. Only one problem. Its digital. There are actually 2 models:

Comparison between the two:

Wire cutters are your friend. ;)

If you custom build a controller it can have as many connections as you like anyway, that's kinda the point of custom building...
