I'm hitting some good numbers here.... and have quite a bit of headroom left....how much more do I need for #1 3dmark01 score on AIR?? Probably someone with -30C weather, though....

It's 10 x 300 1T, 1:1 G.Skill 2 x 256mB "LA" 2.5-3-3-7, 2.70v
648/624 @ 1.63v
I think I can bench at maybe 3025 and 665/625.... maybe 37.7k? I haven't even tweaked o/s 100% either... 38K on air would be nice.
My lLobby's are a bit weak, though... I wonder if that's the 2.5-3-3 working against me?
I want to share my AIR benching method (same as I use with DI)
Run your first game test, then set your next test in menu, then open clockgen and reset your VID. I set mine from 1.550v to 1.450v, this drops the desktop temp by several degrees between tests, wait 10 minutes, set VID back to 1.550v and close clockgen, hit bench button, repeat. This allows lower "between bench" temps... and less CPU related locks.

very nice air results. Its -28C right now here :p:

The 36k score from macci was done on a challenge from Jason57. It was not ran with max OC.

Damn, congrats on 37K+ air-cooled Charlie! :slobber: :D I'm pretty sure that is the current WR. Before that, Jason had 36K, then Macci got 36.1K, then The_Force got 36.2K, but you stomped them all. I'm sure there will be some more challengers to your title but still, awesome score m8 :toast:

thx....
I'm thinking 38k may be possible... it was early evening on a night that was not REAL cool (although I live in SoCal, so it's never THAT cool) and I did NO reg tweaks or explorer tweak.... and there are still acouple win2k tweaks I'll try (sometimes they help, sometimes not) The GPU still has something left in it, 648/624 is really clean, with only the slightest mem artifacting...and only at 1.63vGPU. With 1.68v it may go 670-675/624.
The CPU is a gem... I'm thinking maybe 3025+
So if I can pick up the DRAGO and Nature with the GPU clocks, and slight bumps in Car and Lobby from the CPU clocks, I should be NEAR 38K.
But here's my concern:
Look at this compare with the guy above me on the ORB (by 6 pts) look at his LOBBIES!!! What can I do for LOBBIES??????

"Look at this compare with the guy above me on the ORB (by 6 pts) look at his LOBBIES!!! What can I do for LOBBIES??????"
Hes got 100MHz higher cpu clocks and says he used the ricky tweak too. Thus naturally he would beat your car high and both lobbies. You have much better ram than him but not as tight timings so they kinda cancel out, but youd still have a slight advantage due to the insane ddr600 bandwith. I see your using win2k too, this helped you achieve your world record on air cooling! :toast:

I'd feel really good if I could run my G.Skill @ about 330, 2.5-3-3 1t

Quality work! Great tip about dropping voltage between tests.
What's your air temp for that run?

What do they max out, 2.5-3-3, currently?
More then DDR600, 2.5-3-3, should be possible with these sticks :)
Nice bench :toast:

OMG, 37K on air. wow , nice job Charlie! very awesome score. I got the same cpu cooler, it's good to know that i chose wisely. thx :toast:

Very nice result Charlie, congrats. I got the problem figured out though, had to do something with the bios, my Dragothic scores are 50 and 10FPS off compared to everybody else. So when I get my Powerstream 600 this week 37K will be easy, also have some VX here, if that can do the right speed I can prolly go for 37.5K aircooled. Have to keep up with you ;)

Charlie, could you do a stock run for me, 2600Mhz at tight timings (2-2-2-5) with the card @ 520/560. My Dragothic score seems very low, and I don't know how to solve it. Maybe it's ok, but I'm not sure....

have you tried running drag low first?

have you tried running drag low first?
Yeah, that's only a difference of 5FPS Max. I'm talking about 40FPS low at stock speeds. I score about 560-565 while almost everybody is scoring about 600FPS...
I think it has something to do with this: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=45369&highlight=bios+gigabyte

is everyone with a gigabyte having the problem? if not then we can assume its something else. have you tried a reinstall of win2k maybe? I am not sure whats causing this phenemon but maybe im affected too? at 640x480x16 in 3dmark I barely break 500 drag low with 2.36GHz winchester :(

Then I can assume it has something to do with bios or bios settings(fast writes on/off, sideband addressing) and who knows what else. also it may have to do with whats on your win2k, maybe something with your win2k is hurting your scores?

There aren't that much bios settings, I tried all the bios versions, F1-F2-F3g, and both F2 and F3 work better, cause there's an option to select the memory vendor. If I select Samsung for my TCCD my Drago goes up from 563-582 and 290-303, this is quite a difference.
The strange thing is that with this X850XT card @ 520/560 my Nature scores are much lower, 250FPS compared to 260FPS with my X800XT @ 520/560 and at 580/580 I only got 269FPS....

Yup.. all are having the same problem. The K8NXNXP-939 F3 bios fixes the problem, but some RAMs are having trouble with it. Like BallistiX and EB. (micron)
The bios writers at Gigabyte should stop drinking at work.
