View Full Version : Im so mad my heatsink wont fit my board.

I got my Chaintech VNF4/Ultra ZENITH VE today and i was looking and doesnt look like my xp120 will fit.I thought about putting the clip onto the bracket before i screw it down and maybe then it will work but i dont know.

how would you screw it down with the heatsink in the way though?

Maybe you could cut part of the heatsink off. :cool:
Jnav has said that the clips get in the way, not like the usual heatpipes getting in the way problem.
i don't think the xp-120 will fit the MSI k8nneo 4 either. There is a row of tall caps right by the socket.

I think i found a way but its a pain and tight fit.If you put the bracket down and screw it down but have it loose so you can move it up just a bit then attach the the heatsink clip on the side where the cap gets in the way then screw the screws tight but on one the screw driver is kind of sideways but it still works.Then after u get it tight then connect the rest of the clips.

Could i use this motherboard untill the dfi comes out and send it back for a rma?I got it from zipzoomfly.
RMA for return i guess. but i don't think it would technically be called RMA. just return for credit.
