maybe they actually listend to us and put in the timer insanity cheat check just like 3dmark2001se has, so you can't cheat one 2003 and 2005 very easy :p:

I hope they did atleast, cause I been waiting for them to do that since me and saaya started buggin them about it 3 months ago.
that would be really cool to finally be able to add 3dmark2003 and 2005 to the cheat free list :D

This was a bit of a rude awakening for me this morning. I left my windows open all night, bundled up in my bed, woke up early to shoot off a few 05 runs. My first few attempts, I'm getting all this cold throttle...blah. Finally the card heats up a bit and gets a clean run. Yippie 7k...low and behold "project submission failed."

ROFL, b/c of the updates, you can get on the *first page* ooooh aaaaaah of 05 with above 6191 marks. By the end of the week it will be SLI dominated once again...

i can gain 1000+ pts in 3dmark2001 with LOD bias +3 in nature. Of course , the IQ is unplayable gaming , but... it works for score. I've found out last night, that my nature score increased to avg of 280fps from 180 without LOD bias tweak. My best 2k1 score is without LOD tweak.

+3 seems to be a very good spot for the 6800 series, it peaks massively whereas with the FX range there is no peak and normally the LOD levels off to a plateau or even goes down. The plateau can start between 4 and 12 depending on how powerful the FX is. If ytou have a FX 5500 then you want something around 9, with the FX 5800 then about 4-6. This is why LOD changes are a tweak and not a cheat, you have to spend time, not just press a button. Never ending argument though, like politics and religion. However nobody has started a war over 3dmark scores, so LOD must be OK :D !

In 3dmark03 increased LOD makes GT1 go down but GT2,3 and 4 go up, so that is a balancing act.
