I decided to tear apart all my older generation computer parts, through out the moldy oldy stuff and organize what I want to keep. I found this little baby 40mm Delta fan, lol. I started wondering, how small do fans actually get? Im sure that at some point they move such little air, it becomes pointless. But, Im still curious. :)

well, their 20x20x8mm fan claims to push 0.7, 1.0, and 1.3 cfm on low, medium, and high speeds, respectively. So I would guess that the 17mm would push about 0.3, 0.5, and 0.9 cfm based on its nearly complete lack of blades.
what if you bought about 200 of these and superglued them all together to actually build a case purely out of fans? woot! :0

LOL. I've heard they go as low as 15. Someone told me they saw a 10mm fan one time though! I think he said it was in this container of used parts at an electrical junk yard. OMG, I would be in heaven in a place like that. I'd pull up in my pick up truck, set down camp, and just spend a week loading it up with all the best parts, LOL. Who's with me!!!
j/k
But really, I'd have a field day in a place like that.
