I've tested s478 and LGA775 2.8Es, and mobile prescott p4 (which gives you 14x multi on desktop board). All of them top out at 3.85GHz (275fsb) on water. So if you want 4GHz or above, forget about 2.8E, unless you have Vapo. BTW, my Gskill memory reached 320fsb (3:2) with northwood mobile(12x multi).

Many C0 s478s were not so great. I had a week 11 that needed a litle over 1.6 volts to reach 3.7ghz on water and p4p800 mobo. got very hot :( .

24hours prime95 stable. cant run fsb:ram 1:1 course my corsairs does only 230fsb max @2,8v and cl2,5. so iam running my machine normally at 3200mhz (fsb 229). abit digi dice cube is great for overclocking.. can go up to 268mhz fsb yet. but northbridge is only passive cooled atm. ill check out to go higher with the fsb when i have a nice watercool block for it :D

i have a 2.8e and i have gotten it up to 3.3 with stock cooling and with 4 vantec stealth fans. but i would give the cpu more juice to at least 1.550v and also increase the drr to 2.85v.

I had a 2.8E CO and I was able to get 3.9 on a good day stable, with 1.6V, I think it was around a 31PI without patch
Wsa running a 5:4 divider
