Just got it fired up and making the Fatal1ty look like a fatality.
I will switch over to the XE soon and freeze it.

Purdy...I wish those chips came in Socket 478...
Good thing the P4 mobile line is still around. It should keep me from having to upgrade...at least for a while.:)

Picking it up a bit. a 2.8E running 266+ FSB would be a possible. bios 1003 is needed for phase change coolers. 1002 works fine but it shuts down power on restarts.

fugger, i hope you can help, and i apologize in advance for this lengthy post.
i'm about to make a purchase in february. the fatal1ty is a little cheaper than the p5ad2-e (about $20 in average). i'm a little concerned about the "stack cool" since it might hamper some of the thermalright xp-90/120 installation. so when you said air, do you mean "stock intel fan" on that one? because if i buy a p5ad2-e, then i might not be able to use my xp-90 :( (i'm lazy to look for the longer screws).
the fatal1ty has some pretty leds, plus OTES and RAM OTES which I liked as a "freebie" plus active NB cooler. i've also seen some of the highest voltage options for fatal1ty. i will not be modding my board, so i'd like to stick with a board that can solidly provide voltage to my rig with just changes on the cpu cooling. how high is the max vDimm, vCore, vAGP/vNorthbridge/vChipset on this board?
tnx again...and that's one heck of an OC on air...

I am using a reference heat sink, it is the one without a shroud and should not be used for stress testing outside the BTX case.
I will be pulling my Fatal1ty board out and kicking it to the curb due to very poor bandwidth. I expected a lot more from it and I expected better support from ABit on the problems. I am sure others are getting aggravated with the support playing dumb over the special bios and the fatal1ty.com website with all the sales bling and ZERO action when you click the support button.
No one can find the registration link to the "special" bios for ABit that voids your warranty...
