Hey guys, I've had LOTS of trouble booting up my P4C800-ED for the past 4 months, and to tell you the truth I'm getting sick of it I just wanna blow this :banana::banana::banana::banana: up and throw it away... but scratch that I dont have $$ for new parts :)

Here's my question... does the P4C800-ED make any beep codes / sounds when there is no video card in the AGP slot?

When I remove the video card from the AGP slot I get no beeps whatsoever... and after all the crap I've done (RMA'e motherboard, RMA'ed/replaced CPU, tried 3 different video cards, jumpers, battery, etc, etc) I still cant figure out what the hell is wrong with this mobo and why my monitor never turns on!

I've fixed the motherboard boot, it definietly boots because my fan controller changes from loud beep to low beep (this means its booting) but my monitor never turns on...

I even sent this motherboard for RMA to Asus, but they returned the EXACT SAME motherboard and they didnt fix nothing!

Thanks a lot Asus :toast:

Sounds like my old ASUS board...didn't do anything when I tried to boot. I RMA'd and that board worked fine. So maybe try to RMA again

ok...is the monitor plugged into the socket, and the computer? and is the monitor old.... idk...umm do you have any funky adapters on the mobo?....does the power light on your monitor turn green, or does it stay orange...cuz mine used to turn green and show no pic..so i hit it with a hammer, and it works gr8...

Yep, Monday I'm giving them another call and getting another RMA and I'm gonna make sure this time they give me a new board...

I found nemo: Yes monitor is plugged in to socket, and video card, monitor is NEW and working fine with the AMD system (using it right now), the light turns green and stays green, no funky adapters on mobo I even tried unplugging everything else from mobo except video card and couple of fans but same crap....

But can anyone answer my question?

I'll pull out the videocard from my P4C800-E tomorrow, and see what it gives.

Thanks for helping out bro... but I also just found out that the video card that was in the system is dead also... doesnt boot up in my other system

But I tried 2 diff video cards on the mobo anyways with no boot... so the mobo must be fuxed also which was my thought the whole time...
