Hi everyone!

Next week, I will be getting a CM Stacker. I plan to build a whole new system in it, with 2x GeForce 6800 Ultra on a DFI nF4 SLI-DR mobo. Now I don't know what I should get. I have the following options:

Cross Flow fan
2x NV Silencer 5
CM Stacker Window, and have a hole for a 120mm fan cut in it (possibly)

Concerning temperatures, what would it be best for me to get?

get an extra 4 in 3 hdd cage which has a 12cm fan on it??

Will that be better than any of the above?

i meant in addition to what youve listed...

the crossflow fan would get in the way of removing hdds tho...maybe a 92cm fan would be better if you want to cool ram and mobo...

I was planning this setup:

CM Stacker case:

HDD BOX (with WD Raptor) and 120mm fan
At the back, 1x 120mm fan
At the back, bottom 2x 80mm fan
On the Swiftech, 1x 80mm fan, with another one attached to it, cooling the RAM

Maybe I could get a Silentmaxx HDD silencer, and that way I'd have the HDD box free. I don't move my HDDs around often, so the issue with the crossflow fan would not be much of a problem.

I am not sure whether the 2x120 in the front negates the need for a cross flow fan. My cross flow fan came (raltively) cheap so I bought it, but should the option (drive cage or cross flow) had been mine I would go for the 2nd cage. Are you planning on housing a water cooling system inside the stacker?? If so then the radiator of all the possible places the best and least troublesome is the front of the case. This makes the 2nd HDD cage out of the question since there is no more room in the front. if you place fans on the base grill, I would suggest "blow" rather than "intake" due to the dust that inevitably is found on the floor.

I'm just curious if there's a reason you're putting the psu on the top instead of the bottom. My relatively noobish understanding of cooling makes me think that it would be better to have the two 80mms at the top with the psu on the bottom (drawing air through the bottom of the case, if possible; never worked with a stacker, but pictures make it seem as though you can do that).

Yeah you can but there is also a fan on top drawing hot air out so you do get some kind of ventilation there. On the other hand the bottom of the case has no airflow "by default" so it's logical to assume that one will try to address that "issue" with a couple of intake fans.
Secondly, (I haven't tried it) the top PSU position is "caged" so I do not know how easy/difficult it is to install 2 fans there.

Ah, okay, didn't realize that there was a top exhaust fan. That makes more sense.
