Ok, I blew an IC on my X800xt-pe. The card is dead. I am thinking of getting an X850. Do you guys think I should wait to see what SLI does? Or should I buy the X850 now? SIK

Hey SIK,
The x850 XT PE is just a reworked x800 XT PE, so there is nothing revolutionary, just the next evolutionary step for a product line. I know you have worked that to the end (the very end ;) ), and the x850 will pick up where the x800 left off, but do you not want to explore different options? I, for one, am going the SLI route just to try it out. Some will argue the price is steep, but in this game price is not as much a factor as results. Why else would we spend $800 on a CPU, $800 on phase change unit, $300 on really good memory, etc? To get some really nice numbers, and if you WIN a few categories along the way, even better!

Thanks, I had the Vdmm way to high. I forgot about it. It blew the top off the IC second from the Vivo plug. I ordered a new one and will try to replace it. Man, that card was one of a kind, I am sorry to see it go.
Heavy, you need to get in touch with me. YGPM.
