and remove the fan, using the rest as a spacer. Lets air cool the area under the dead spot. Still light and clips hold it all fine.

Both prime and SNM temps dropped by 2-4c for me (48c after prime 13hrs+ (still running to burn in - see sig ) and 50c, down from 54c in S&M) :banana4:

I have about 15 Panaflo Ms (don't ask, ebay deal gone crazy gotem for about 2$ apiece  ) so I used one of them, but just go find the cheapest fan (who cares about function :D ) and use it!

I tried this too and it worked great. Dropped temps for me just like you said, 2-4C+.

Someone on ocforums.com actually stacked a bunch of 120mm housings till it was flush with the side of the case and then cut a hole in the side of the case to suck in fresh air. Worked great for him. Dropped temps even more

A lot of people who have one have reported better temps with the fan pulling than pushing too.

I watch speedfan and voltages seem pretty steady.

the standard xp-120 clips hold the two then, the fan plus the spacer ??
If not: superglue ???

mm: would you sell me two of these ? :) i am in illinois.

There's only one on ebay and the others are too expensive just to be used as spacers....please LMK :)

there are better places than newegg..eg. www.svc.com ....or best deal i had on www.bestbyte.net for $43 !!! F****G newegg wants $65 for the same HSF ! (plus s/h)

btw. recently i posted a lot of rants regarding newegg and how s***y their prices have become. Sometimes they're even at the bottom, meaning for some parts are the most expensive at newegg.

Just FIY.
