Well, I am basically deciding between a Neuros HD30GB, Apple Ipod 20GB 4th Generation, or an iRiver H320..

Anyone own any of these.. The only reason I want the Ipod over the others is that dang click-wheel.. lol.. :D

I mean the iRiver and Neuros easily beat out the IPod in everyway possible except for the click-wheel..

iRiver allows images while the Neuros allows itself to be a portable HDD allowing any file.. And the neuros has an orange backlight with a black body.. And its got wireless broadcast to any stereo.. FM radio reveiver..

But the iRiver allows you to view images.. Mmmm.. Such a hard desicion.. Someone help me please.. :toast:

Hmmm.. The Neuros is a Fat HDD.. And the iRiver.. And you are sure you can load any files onto the iPod..? Cause now its sorta between the Ipod and the Neuros.. Cause I dont really need to be able to view images.. lol..

And the Neuros and iPod are the same price for the 20GB.. So.. Hmmm.. Anyone own either one?

Basically the only thing that I would want with the iPod is that damn click-wheel.. lol.. Grrrrrrrr..

that "damn click-wheel" is really worth the price, i've got an Ipod Mini, the ergonomy is the best i've ever seen :)

in an Ipod you can put any kind of file, mine is detected as an external hdd, and I can fill it with videos, texts...

Thats awesome.. But with the neuros you can project your mp3's wirelessly to any home stereo system.. And you can receive FM radio without any attachment.. Hmmmmm..

Both have same HDD Capacity.. I dont know, this is hard..

About 10 of my friends have an iPod, another 3 have an iPod mini. I would reccomend the iPod.

I am floating towards Ipod.. I still want the Neuros though.. lol.. But the iPod will do just because of the Click Wheel.. The new 4th Generation.. I have seen people scroll through songs and playlists like nobodys buisness with it.. And I dont really need the FM Radio.. Nothing on the radio is good anymore.. lol.. And the wireless Broadcast is kinda pointless because I dont even have a home stereo.. I use my computers 5.1 lol.. and if the mp3 is on my iPod it is on my computer..

I am really smart.. huh?
God I feel stupid.. lol.. And you are sure you can use the iPod as a Jumpdrive..? Thanks, also, I know it has games on it, can you load new ones?

Later..

Also.. You dont need iTunes to use the iPod right.. I didnt know if iPod had some gay thing were the only mp3s u could put on it were from Itunes..? lol

I can just plug it in via USb or Firewire and drag and drop mp3s onto it right..?

i dont like this ipod“s course you cant get your music via drag/drop onto it. you always need to use this apple music software, to copy the music on the ipod.
and its still quite expensive. try to get a "no-name" mp3 player with the a big hd. its the best deal i think :)

One more thing.. You dont have to use the Ipod headphones right..?

I can use my own, I have nice expensive ones.. I kinda wanna keep using them..

Later guys, thanks

iam not 100% sure but i think yes you can use em but you always have to use the software from apple to get them on your ipod.

Right.. Thats not a huge problem.. I think Windows Media Player (Which I use for all my Mp3s) has music SYnc with your Mp3 player.. I bet you can use that, not sure though..

Hmmmm.. So everyone agrees on iPod over Neuros..?

u can use ur mp3 files that u already have, but u have to use the itunes to put them in the ipod.
u dont have to buy songs via itunes, u can use any other program to download them, but u still need to use the itunes to put them in the ipod (that sucks).

im going to buy the ipod, just because for 40Gb is the smallest and it has the click wheel.

u can use any other headphones, i recommend the apple in-ear phones for ergonomic reasons. :D

Nice.. Thats not that bad.. Usin iTunes I mean..

I am getting the 20GB model because I dont have an enourmous amount of songs.. Also headphones wise.. I am not in an enviroment where I need to have compact headphones.. lol.. But I heard they rock for sound quality..

Hope no one minds me asking this here... but if you want an mp3 player specifically for activities like running is it better to go with a flash memory type device for all the shock?

I run and workout with my Mini Ipod and there has never been a skip or any problems so flash memory type device isn't really any better for those activities.

i think the quoted skip protection on the 4th gen ipod is like 25-30 minutes!!! i beleive the mini is the same (maybe a little less) i run with it and have never had a problem...
