View Full Version : NForce4 Motherboards Without SLI

What are my NF4 chipset options? I am not interested in SLI, nor am I interested in paying extra for a feature I have no intention of using. I'm waiting for the X800XL, so I don't need SLI.

The problem is that all the good NF4 mobos available (Asus, Epox, MSI, Gigabyte) are SLI and really expensive.

The Asus board isn't really a good overclocker from what people are saying, the MSI Diamond is like $300, and the non-SLI Gigabyte is locked.

Where are all the NF4 Ultra chipsets? I haven't heard about any NF4 Ultras from ASUS yet, and where has ABIT been?

Right now I'm considering the DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D which is almost availble for $190 here. It looks like my best option, but is MSI making an NF4 ultra board too?

the DFI would be the best bet. Also higher quality than the MSI i would think (this is comign from a msi k8n neo2 owner)

Epox has one, that i don't know the model # of and gigabytes K8NF-9. The gigabyte's is a very nice board as long as you don't plan on running high HTT.

gigabyte is also going to make a k8nxp-9 which is supposed to be the 1000HTT board.

Epox, MSI, or DFI nforce4 ultra boards are ganna be the best, i'm just waiting for all of them to come out and getting the cheapest one.

The EPoX 9NPA+ is an nForce4 Ultra (not SLI). Pretty nice board. 3.1v dimm 1.85v core. Not a lot of frills but she overclocks well and the voltages are nice and stable.

I would go for the DFI board. The LP board seems nice from what others have said so it would be your best bet

Thanks guys, I'm probably going with the DFI NF4 ultra pending reviews (I'm buying the mobo based on overall quality - sound, raid, etc.)
