I apologize for this being a bit off-topic but this seemed like the most likely place to find someone with ideas.

Ever since installing this new card a couple of days ago, I can not complete 3dmark, either '03 or '05. '03 fails during game test 4, '05 fails during game test 2. Each with a slightly different vesion of an error report saying "out of video memory". The MIT MyHD-120 is a HDTV capture card. It lives on the PCI bus and uses video overlay to display the HDTV video, and also works

I've seen lots of reports of people with 3dmark crashing on those 2 particular tests with the same error messages, but none that seemed to have any resolution.

If I disable the card in the device manager, I am able to complete the tests.

I have uninstalled/cleaned/reinstalled drivers for the HD card, video card, and dx9.0c, with no improvement.

Any thoughts, suggestions, etc?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I had a ATI HDTV Wonder for a while in my pc. So many problems and video conflicts that I removed it. My suggestion is to frequent AVSForum. Thats the best place to find info about that pci card. Good luck though, wish I could help more.

drcrawn,

thanks for your response. I appreciate it.

I have posted a question on AVSForum HTPC forum as well. I had an ATI card briefly as well (christmas gift) but took it back to trade out for the MyHD card because it had neverending conflicts with my video card, system, etc. Attempting to install the drivers caused a crash!

the MyHD card is great aside from this issue.

I did a little more testing, in case anyone sees a pattern, please feel free to share.

I tried aquamark 3, everything fine. 3dmark2001, everything fine, score is the same with or without the MDP-120 enabled.

So what is special about the "nature" tests in 3dm03, 3dm05? I can not figure what is unique about those tests compared to every other direct3d test I can throw. Any suggestions, input appreciated.
