Why have they raised the price on the OEM 3500+ 90nm so much? Only 2 days ago it was $251, and now it is $300. Its just insane: http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Product_Code=120423&Category_Code=AMD64

Anyone know why they would do that? I already registered on their forums and asked why.. wish some of u would back me up ;) (I know.. its not gonna do much) http://www.monarchcomputer.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3167

Who the hell cares about CS tbh.

I have noticed 3500 prices in general going crazy at many stores.

$300 is about £165-170, they are betwen £182-210 here, quit :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:ing :p

likewise, gig of g-skill is £145 from the states , £220 here, thats what $400 or so .

I was lucky enough to have spotted 3500+ 90nm from monarch when it was US$251 :) Although add shipping from USA to OZ, 3yr warranty an and paypal fees came close to US$280, but still cheaper than the raised price they're at now .. phew!

oc-rookie is testing my cpu soon

Exactly, quit whinning :) In DK 3500+ are impossible to get, the situation is similair to the (un)availability of X800XT PE cards. Just for refference, a 3500+ is for 2000 DKK on pre-order with shipping around February 10th, which is basically $350 without shipping :) You Americans are lucky to have such low prices on HW, the Nordic market is luxurious though overpriced when compared to the US.

you should have seen how high newegg was charging just one week ago. it was $349 just for the OEM 3500+ and it would appear that newegg has stop carrying the 3500 retail since December. Thats why i went with Monarch, luckily i got mine for $251. I think the price hike is due to a diminishing warehouse stock. Notice the limit of 1 per customer.

I wondered where all the 3500+ Winchesters went, I thought they all went missing after all that defective memory controller stuff?

That is yet to be proven. i think what really is happening is that AMD is having a shortage or can't keep up with demand. Either way, they're denying it. :cord:
