I don't get this. The first time I tried overclocking my 3500 Winnie, I got it to 2.4 without touching a single setting besides my FSB. No increase in Vcore or Vdimm, memory clockspeed, AGP speed, or anything else. It was Prime stable for 24 hours. Not a single problem.
A week later, it wouldn't post and now it'll only let me hit 2.3 at 209 FSB. I've tried upping the voltage to no avail.
What can I do to get it back to 2.4 and beyond?
MSI Neo2 Platinum
1 gig of OCZ EB PC3700 Platinum
Antec TruPower 530
try re-seating your Heatsink.

My Zalman 7000 is on there as solid as a rock. It won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

Yeah, reseating helped for me. I hit a wall at 2.3 too and it turned out that the heatsink and the cpu was not making good contact. GAZC is right do that first because it can happen and it happened to me. Now im able to hit 2.6 stable just by reseating and reapply the as5. what are your temps btw?

Ok, just took off then reapplied the AS5, reseated the Zalman, and rebooted. On my first reboot, I was able to get it up to 2.4. Then I rebooted again, and I hit my wall of 2.3 once again. The heatsink is DEFINITELY on there.

When you put on your AS5, did you spread it around with a razor or follow artic's directions for ihs's?

Arctiv Silvers. It's running at 33c, so I don't think the applications ever been a problem. A grain's worth of paste, rub with zip lock until entire surface is covered, apply HSF.
Can you try lowering your HTT as far as possible and try to hit 2.4ghz with a lower memory speed. I had a problem where I lost my overclock because the ram suddenly crippled itself. I didn't mention this at first because you have different Ram to me, but give it a try anyway.

Since you're talking vcore, agp settings etc...
Can you also try & lock your AGP port to 67??
That might make a difference.... Then again, I just noticed you've got a 3500+ Winnie... Not much htt needed for 2.4Ghz....
Maybe have a look-see at the K8N Neo2 tips & tricks thread in the "Best Of AMD" section to see if that thread can help you out more...
I've read about some Winnie's losing their OC's after a certain amount of time but they've been OCed more...

thats what i was going to say... its a 3500 isnt already a 2.4gig chip? i gues they are 2.2 chips cause of the dual channel and 939 platform?? my 3400 754 is 2400mhz amd realy makes thing confusing.... good luck man.

Any other ideas?
Any other ideas?
have you any other memory you can try? i know with my neo2 and fx-53 my eb3500 runs like poo-poo in this msi board. your ocs are just so low that the cpu cant be tapping out not at those ocs it has to be the mb or mb related... try some differnt memory also make sure you havent over looked any bios settings. somthings not right? good luck man youl work it out and if not the DFI is just around the corner :)

Thanks for the advice! I've checked with the mobo thread about all the correct settings. It even said OCZ EB has had problems with the Neo2. I don't have any other RAM to try.

did you try the memory divider?

Nope. Should I? If so, which one should I try.

Here is one you might have overlooked, you said you were able to hit 2.4 after reseat....dont you think there is something wrong right there!!. Use another heatsink and remount several times..............

Put your mobo in a horrizontal position and see if it stays stable at 2.4ghz then (after remounting the heatsink offcourse).
