Alright, right now in my Dell Dimension 8300 i have a new X800 Pro. All is well and good and the Psu doesnt strain or anything. Heat is a giant issue though, it overheats way too easily, the ventilation sucks. Can i just switch out the case for a new one with better ventilation?

I dunno... I had a Dell Dimension.... by the way I hate those cases. Cheap PVC that cracks real easily. The board was a unique size.... compare the dimensions and screw hole placements to a standard ATX board and see if its the same. If it is, you shouldn't have any problems.

Oh yeah, if your case has a custom size psu, you'll have to buy a new one. Another thing these Dell's do is have that floppy drive with the face missing and the slot and button custom made into the front case plate. If this is the case, you'll have to replace the floppy drive too. I dont even use those to be honest. I tell the system to use a card reader or a CD Rom for boot disks. I'd rather do something more useful with those 3.5 slots. The Hardcano 13 combines a clock, multiple temp monitering, 4 fan controllers, and a multi-card reader in one 5.25 slot, so that saves yet another slot! That way you have more room for modding your pc, adding drives, or what ever you wanna do. :)
