i got the sunon, its sort of loud, i think it puts out 108CFM, so its like the NMB one you reviewed.

Its just a little louder than my antec true control 550, so not all that bad.

i got a 3700+ on it running stock, idle 27C, with mobo temp monitor reporting 26C. but i think my room is actually like 20C.

Thats actually a pretty good run down of fans, nicely done.

I have to agree the enermax is great, definitley the jack of all trades of the bunch.

hey,
nice nice ! :)

Just one question...i see many people saying there are problems mounting the Enermax on the XP-120. They say the fan needs a mod eg. removing some plastic etc.

Do you know anything about it ?

It does fit a little funky, but I've run it for a while with no problems. I'd check its fit after transports or zip tie if you are paranoid.

One lap guide. (http://www.overclockersclub.com/guides/heatsinklappingguide.php)

You'll need a lot of 400, maybe even start with 200 because it takes a LONG time and work to get thru the nickel. I found using slow even strokes about 1 per second ended up with a much nicer finish.

well i just got my xp-120 and enermax fan..now i could see where the problem is. Well...lack of motivation to drill holes or mod the fan i did something else, with an additional benefit:

Got me a cheap 120mm panaflo, stripped the insides, and use the housing as a spacer. I glued the Enermax on the spacer. No i can attach the housing/spacer (w/ the Enermax sitting on top of it) to the XP-120 w/o problems. And i also might get a few degrees better temps w/ the fan farther away. (Smaller dead spot). :)

Solved two problems with one small mod :)
