View Full Version : Choosing 550 or 600w PSU-Only difference in +5v rail? Which 1 to get?

Im torn between these 2 power supplies.
The rail specs are very similar apart from the +5v rail. However the price difference between the 550 and 600 watter is pretty significant.

Really need your opinion as to whether theres any major advantage in getting an extra 4amps on the +5v in the 600w psu?

Im not very sure what components use the +5v rail but anyway heres what im planning to put on it...

amd 3200+ or fx.
1gb VX and booster
1 6800gt or ultra
4 hdds
2 optical drives
5 case fans (4pin molex)
1 floppy
1 lcd panel

550 will work fine. What temps are those ratings for?

unfortunately they dont say. the psus are by tagan if its any consolation...
