I just installed the ATI Silencer on my X800 Pro -> XTPE (Ati 520/560 BIOS). Temps are great, idles around 36, load is around 59. Overclocking is so-so at 540/590 rock stable, but since I needed to to the pencil mod to get 520 to work I'm happy. The weird thing is that it is totally stable at 540, but when I do a cold boot, I get major artifacts if I do ANY core overclock (even 520 -> 522). It seems it takes a while for it to "warm up". This didn't happen before the Silencer was installed, but I can't see how improving temps would screw anything up. Is it possible the core/ram chips were damaged?

I'm using the newest Radeon Omega's plus ATITool 0.0.22. Artifacts happen in both overlocking tools at bootup.

One more thing, I'm using Arctic Cooling Ceramique for both the core and the mem, and I heard it takes a while to "set". Could this be it?

Thanks for any ideas!
