Just kidding, but this thing is sweet, and "only" $170. Hey, the 600W Powerstream is $210.

Thermaltake Purepower 680W (http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/tt680/)

I want one. :slobber:

i have a thread about this, but i decided that i don't think it is worth it, considering it will only give 15A max to the cpu because the 12V rails are 15, 15, 8.

i really like the TTGI modular, its not a beast at 550watts like the thermaltake, but it ahs 30A which ought to do just fine, considering this rig its for will only be air cooled, my other waterchilled rig will need something far more extreme, maybe a zippy, but they are ugly as hell.

The thing is the guts of the powerstream are probably the same or better then those in the 680w power supply.

it looks the same as the ocz, just without the external pots, same finish, but this has very neat cables, not sure if the OCZ is sleeved like that.

i'm guessing the the TT is just rated at a lower temp, and that is maybe more along the lines of its peak power than its contiunous power at ACTUAL operating temps, not that 25C crap which nobody's psu really runs at unless you have PCPC, but thats why they are so loud.

The OCZ 600 is fully sleeved , lower models partially.

I happened to find the pc p&c 510 express quite sexy.

My last psu was shiny, and it didn't have it where it counts. Nothing says I mean buisness like rugged black paint and 15 drive connectors.

i like pcpc look more than the shinyness of ocz.
