@Lastviking - please, with all due respect, if you can't show "full screen-shot, with CPU-Z, Sandra and finished 3DMark2001 and ORB link, then STOP.... we all really appreciate your FSB and Sandra Mem Bandwidth records, you were one of the first ones to show what DFI Lanparty, cold ambient temps and your skills can do but i always wondered why you just cropped the screenies to show Sandra window only.... ;)

@cpulloverclock ...but here the only FSB that counts is DUAL or SINGLE, but FSB that you can boot to Windows with and run 3DMark2001 bench.... who cares that one hit FSB297 when it's just worthless.... unless, one run some benchmarks with it... (at least SuperPi 1M but except for Sandra Mem)

corsair twinx - best at 3.7~3.8 vdimm... max i have tried is 4.2vdimm but it only make lotsa error... will all fan covered... its not heat prob... it might be da limit to my bh5...

mushkin - best at 3.6~3.7 vdimm... dis mushkin is not pair match & wanek buy each of them at different place & time...

corsair bh6 single stick - best at 3.6~3.7vdimm... more vdimm wont help...



vdd : 1.9v - less than dat wont finish 3dmark & will kick back to desktop or hang

vagp: 1.7v - i cant see da effect wit dis value hi or low...

vcore: 1.925v - more than dis my rig will restart... it might be due to heat or its da proc limit wit air coolin...

temp: proc - 37~44C , system - 31~35C

time: 12am ~ 7am - da coldest time at here...


actually da test happen when tsunami strike SE ASIA... since my country which is malaysia also bein strike by da tsunami... i can feel da weather become more cold than usual...

mushkin bh5 @ 273 single channel - da black one sure da best bh5 i ever tested... 273 @ 3.6vdimm while da blue one hard to pass 267~270 when test on single channel...

corsair bh5 @ 272 dual channel - max dat have pass 3dmark wit somethin on os corupted but still manage to publish da orb link.. i restart again da pc but it fail to pass 272 again... i guess dats da lucky 2 more fsb than my stable 270 fsb...

corsair bh5@ 270 dual channel - its always pass 3dmark & most of da bench like super pi & sandra memtest...i got da screenie...

mushkin bh5@ 270 dual channel - its like magic since da blue one can pass 3dmark along wit his superior black bh5... can say most of da time test again @ 270 & it will pass easily...

corsair bh6@271 single chanel - when cpc on... highest only can hit 250 but once cpc off... it fly to 271 fsb stable...


however im a bit dissapointet wit my super pi score...only 37sec @ 270 x 10... i guess its due to apic off... or maybe win2000 ... coz b4 dis... i tried on win xp 257 x 10.5 & da score is always 35secs...

well... i have write such a long reply... i know im still not da best when comes to super pi, sandra or 3dmark points... but on next attempt... i'll find a good hadisk & vga to play with...

da big prob is... on memtest... da ram can go 260~270 no prob but once goin to windows.... i suffer from freeze probs... its not dat i wish to off apic for no reason... with apic on... its most likely to freeze... sometime at 250 fsb da windows likely to freeze but at da moment im usin SATA hadisk... will sata likely to be freeze when da fsb over 250??? :confused:

It is way, way harder to achieve a high FSB with 2-2-2-X timings, then it is to do so with looser timings. In particular, these records made with BH-5 at tight timings, are just awe-inspiring, and extremely impressive :).

That's what I managed, aircooled - didn't get as far as 3DMark before the board blew (my own stupidity, vmod fell off because of bad soldering and fried traces) but that was only with 3.4V, and the BH-5 was good for more with more juice. Sigh...

In my case everything except this Merlin's bios and HellFire's last 'Turbo' is crap :( Some aren't stable on stock, others are mega slow or unstable over 260 fsb.

On hynix chips i haven't got any probs and official bioses were excelent :rolleyes:

I can do even 285Mhz FSB in stability but 3DMark 200X do not detecting processor speed (well) and on account of it there are troubles of sending to ORB :devil:
