So, I got my Sanyo Denki fans in...problem is, they have bare wires. I've got the female 3-pin connectors, but without the metal inserts. I was going to take the inserts from my stock P4 cooler, and fanmate 1, as they are the only ones I have to take.

However, I don't know how to go about:
1. Removing them from their current place
2. Wiring and securing them to the fan wires
3. Inserting them back into a 3-pin connector

I searched the forum and googled, but can't seem to get any info. What do I do? What "tools" do I need?

I use a hobby knife and gently press in on the pin through the slot on the front side while tuging at the wire. Make sure the pins are not bent before reinstalling. I like to reinstall with new pins if you can find them.

Where would you find some?
Would a place like Radioshack have them? Or Frys?

I found them at a local Electronics supply, but a search on the web for fan connectors may bring up something. Radio shack does not carry them I know.

Me too, but I'll keep that link in mind. I bought 10 female connectors awhile ago, but they came solo, no inserts. :(

thanks Wstinkbait.
