NF7-S Chipset Fan = Whine

Whenever i start my computer, the chipset fan (nf7-s) whines until a bit after windows. This is only when it firsts starts up. I dont really mind, except that this motherboard is going to a customer. Should i spray some lubricant in there? Id rather leave it as it is and not wait 5 days for a northbridge heatsink.

yeah drop in a very little drop of lubricant... make sure it's light weight lubricant... otherwise it can bog down the fan and it wont start up when it boots...

i had a problem with one of my 40mm fans like that... 80mm and larger fans arnt so sensitive to heavy lubricants though... they'll still turn over

that fan is horrible to begin with, they end up dying after a while. but your fan doesnt sound like its dying, it appears that it is clogged up.
