what cooling are you using on the ram?

try updating forceware drivers to 71.20. that seemed to help a little for me, although the max i can get out of the ram was actually only 1160.

I'm using the stock hsf , it seems fine , the temp is : 48'C/33'C
When i run 3D03/05 --> 60'C/38'C and not throlling

@ Kanavit : but this driver is not FM approach :(

Stock heatsink? I don't like the sound of that. I would recommend watercooling the gpu and adding ram sinks and have fan blowing on the card. Or get a nv silencer for 6800 series, but I doubt it's much better than the stock cooler. My 6800gt after watercooling and ram and the vmodded bios gives me 420/1150 without any artifacts or reboots in games. I think you are doing fine considering you are above ultra speeds. I wouldn't complain.

I have bought a NV5 Silincer but i worst than the stock heatsink , the temp is 60/38 idle and when i ran benches there 're so many artifacts , temp ran 90/40
:eek: and i returned it immediatly :D

It seems the stock heatsink is doing his work fine ? Maybe i must accept with my speeds ?? :p:

btw , thx u guys alot , it's fine when running a 68gt w/ above 68U speeds :toast: ==> i love my Gainward Vid

PS : sorry for my bad English , i'm German

few things you can try, none guaranteed to work. you can flash your gt to an ultra and take advantage of the ultra memory timings. although it sounds counterintuitive, i think the gt timings are tighter than ultra timings so that flashing to ultra might let you oc your memory more. although overclocking to a nice round # like 1200 sounds good, you won't notice any difference in games.

your volt mod of the bios to make 2d/3d speed equal voltage will get rid of throttling.

i would definitely look into watercooling the gpu, it was the a really challenging and, ultimately, rewarding experience. i gained a modest 25mhz more on my clock, but my stability is much much better and my temps don't freak me out like they used too. i was at 51 idle, 74 load. now with wc, i'm at 40 idle, 45 load.

P.S. my english is bad because i'm an american
